Remember when the Internet didn’t exist, and you had to actually ask people your stupid questions? Thank goodness we are spared that embarrassment now! (Oh the difficulty of conveying sarcasm via written word.)
If you think you can ask the strangers in the Internet for advice and keep your dignity, you’d be wrong. There is always someone out there (myself included) that will share your shame. Here are some examples of weird things people have asked strangers on the Internet.

Okay, no offense, but this post is kind of rich, coming from Lovelyish. If I recall correctly, there was a post recently about how we should feel about something Christina Aguilera said about her own body, which was later revealed to have been a rumor anyway. Weird questions indeed.

LOL at the fat man/trolley one. Wut?
Some of these aren’t too too odd though!

@WaitingToShrug@xanga - I see your point. The post you mentioned was written by a different writer though. We we have several writers who all have different opinions, but i get what you’re saying

@katie - Yeah, and I’m not trying to insult you personally, but I’ve been dismayed in the past by lovelyish’s content. It just struck me as ironic. But yes, those are weird questions.

@cryholy@xanga - that sounds like something one of my physics professors would have asked. I would have responded, “is the fat man running toward (or away) from the trolley, or is he just standing there?” Because those would matter when determining which equation to use.

Where are these questions from???? Why is the hair removal one under sports? This place seems like troll heaven.

To be completely honest, most of those questions weren’t really shame worthy. Some of them were odd and, in the old days, would have been asked of a doctor or a shrink- but odd and/or personal doesn’t make it shame worthy. That’s the joy of the Internet- you can now tap into the knowledge of millions of people at any point in time and, as long as you know how to weed out the bullshit, possibly find some unique answers to unique questions.

To convey sarcasm, I often put the sarcastic text between asterisks…I call it STARcasm. It’s pretty cool.
