Going right along with the spirit of Halloween, the Heart & Stroke Foundation decided to create a crazy, ridiculous, extremely awesome PSA. It goes far beyond any dull posters with awkwardly expressionless people in all the illustrations (seriously, when somebody’s unconscious in front of you, wouldn’t you panic?!). Do you know how to do CPR? If not, you certainly will after this spot! It’s tagline? “CPR will make you… undead.”
Zombies have had a bit of a renaissance in the past decade after a dissent into simple camp for many years (oh, the 80s… ). Then, with the popularity of World War Z and the television show The Walking Dead, people have taken even more note recently on humans’ fascinations with the undead.” The CDC has released the Zombie Preparedness 101 guide, which really just describes all the things people should do to be prepared in the event of most emergencies: have tons of nonperishable food, an exit strategy, a safe place, etc. Not only do people wind up noticing their commercials and PSAs more, but they’ll actually tell others about them, post them online and spread the word about an interesting video (that will also end up dispersing valuable life-saving knowledge). After all, when was the last time you saw 100 shares on a formal CPR video on Facebook?
Lovelies, what do you think about this PSA’s strategy?

Lolz, if they were all like that, we’d all pay more attention. Kudos to them for coming up with it.

@pick_my_friggin_nose@xanga - I think after a long time in the zombie apocalypse, I’d just give up and say, “Go for it.” Hahaha
