For many of us, our childhood bedsheets hit the nearest donation box long ago. In fact, most people probably don’t even remember what they looked like. (I have a vague recollection of…blue diamonds?) But one Etsy dressmaker has found an amazing way to repurpose bedding from your childhood: by turning it into dresses and accessories! Check out some of her work here!
OK, not all of these are pinup, but they are all amazing! They make me want to dust off that sewing machine I never learned to use and to break out the mounds of vintage fabric I have hanging out in storage. Even though I’m not the biggest Star Wars fan, I think that first dress is my favorite of the bunch! Head on over to Etsy to see (and maybe even buy) more awesome goods! [via BongaChopShop]
Which of these is your favorite?

Oh my gosh! I love love love these dresses! So many childhood memories, plus they’re cute and feminine (in style). I love all of them, but I think my favorite is the pink top. It looks like Care Bears, but I’m not sure.

@babybug329@xanga - I thought it was Care Bears too, but I looked at it again and I’m not sure what it is anymore..
I’d totally wear the Mickey one, Nintendo one, and the Smurfs one!

@pick_my_friggin_nose@xanga - I looked at the Etsy store link, it turned out to be Care Bear Cousins, basically characters that weren’t the bears.

@babybug329@xanga - .______________. i do remember the elephant and lion from the care bear cousins, but I’d much rather prefer that top to be care bears.

The only ones here I would consider geeky are the Star Wars and Mario Bros. The other ones are just vintage, which is completely in keeping with the pin-up style.
My opinion on the legitimately geeky ones is negative. I don’t like the geeky pin-up combo. And I’m fans of both, for the record.
