I probably cry as much as the average person. When something particularly sad happens or I’m at a point of ultimate frustration, I’ll probably cry. However, I don’t go around shedding tears on the daily, which is why I can’t figure out why I always cry during movies. Nothing makes me shed a tear like a sad movie. Here are 11 movies that are guaranteed to make me cry.
The Notebook
Marley & MeI remember going to see this movie in theaters. I thought it was going to be a cute little movie about a puppy that would brighten my mood around the holidays. Never did I think I was going to come out of the theaters bawling like a baby. I swear, when Marley died, I felt like my own dog died and the tears just started flowing. Even when I watch this movie now, I still cry my eyes out every time.
P.S. I Love YouThis movie starring Hilary Swank and Gerard Butler was an expected tearjerker. I mean, Gerard Butler’s character dies within the first ten minutes, which meant that I got to spend the rest of the movie crying. I still remember going to the bathroom after the movie ended. It was full of women with tears running down their face.
Check out the gallery below for more movies that make me cry!

Oh my god. Marley and Me. Fuuuuhh. I can’t even handle it. And for some reason “Click” never fails to make me cry. It’s not even a good movie.

I’ve never seen Marley and Me, but I heard it’s a tear jerker.
I basically agree with all you mentioned. I would also add Tarzan, the Disney version on the list. Same goes for Beauty and the Beast. I watched it recently in what seemed like years and I balled my eyes out when Beast died even though I knew it was going to be a happy ending. lol
I also get teary eyed watching Edward Scissorhands and The Outsiders.

I stopped watching Marley & Me once I realized Marley was going to die.
And I cried when I watched The Last Song.Which isn’t saying much, because I also cried during Sons of Anarchy last week,

Up makes everyone cry. Everyone. It’s one of my favorite movies.
I typically don’t watch animal movies because I know they are going to make me cry and think of pet death.

OH MY GOD, every time I watch The Incredible Journey and poor Shadow can’t get himself out of that dirt hole and he just lays down, gives up and says “I’m too old…” – that breaks my heart! :’(

Marley and Me makes me BAWL, the same with Up, and I always cry when Mufasa dies in the Lion King. I also cried at the Hunger Games and in the final Harry Potter.

The films that ALWAYS make me cry are Casper, Eight Below, P.S I Love You, Cast Away, 13 Going On 30, and Beaches!
I watched Marley and me and surprisingly never cried, bawled my eyes out reading the book though!

I don’t cry during movies very much but here are a few that get me every single time: Marley & Me, Big Fish, The Land Before Time (don’t judge
haha), We Are Marshall. I think that might be it. I cannot watch any of those movies without bawling at some point.

Never saw A Walk To Remember, Up, Airbud, or The Little Princess. Fall asleep every time I start P.S. I Love you. The Notebook was boring as fuck. Couldn’t wait for that one to end.
Toy Story 3, bawled. Marley and Me, cried like a little bitch. Homeward Bound, bawled like the biggest bitch ever. Shadow was my favorite character too, so I was definitely like, “NOOOO!” Anakin style and all!
Also to add to this list:
The Moulin Rouge
Bambi
Life Is Beautiful
Ever After
The Other Woman
The Fox and the Hound
Star Wars Episode III Revenge of the Sith.

I dare any of you to find the movie, “My Dog Skip” and watch it. Makes “Marley and Me” look like a walk in the park! And Ladies, I have found very few men who can watch it without shedding a few tears…

Mine is ‘ramona and bezzus’
The part where ramona is trying so hard to do well, and every time everyone is like she’s not good enough even though she’s giving her best, so she trys to runaway, and her family finds her, and brings her back home, that part makes me cry every time. The book made me cry when I was about 7y/o and then I watched the movie as an adult and it still made me cry.
