Most mornings I hop out of bed, brush my hair and throw it in a ponytail. My hair dryer has sat collecting dust for a few months now, and I’m sure I haven’t touched a straightener in two years. My idea of “accessorizing” involves throwing on a turban on days when I haven’t washed my mane. I guess what I’m trying to say is that I’m not much of a hairstylist. Nonetheless, I still like looking at the hair trends coming off the runways. Here are nine looks someone who isn’t me may be able to pull off this spring! 

Those crystals look amazing, and I’m willing to bet they would be a super-easy DIY project. Just glue some of the gems to bobby pins and there you have it! I know that some of these styles seem a bit over-the-top, but that’s how fashion works: everything starts extravagantly on the runway, and then gets toned down in real life. So just put one flower in your hair instead of five (like my lovely friend Kim does on a regular basis), or find a bright scarf that doesn’t have a huge amount of fabric in the back.
