Do you have wanderlust?
Well, ten of the most beautiful roads in the world are calling your name! Sometimes, I think I’m addicted to highways and the freedom and possibilities they bring. Not only do they literally and symbolically represent change but they each have their own beautiful, sad, and sometimes terrifying histories.
I’m lucky enough to have traveled the Overseas Highway in the Florida Keys and it is just as magical as it appears in the above photo. Although just as beautiful, the Bolivian North Yungas Road (below) is known by locals as “La Calle Del Muerte” or the “Road of Death” because of it’s slippery, muddy ground and sharp, sudden turns. Each year, many folks fly off this road into the canyons below… but look at that view!
Since there are just too many gorgeous roads in the world to count, this list is by no means all inclusive or in any particular order. Hope you enjoy the trip!
Does this make you want to go on a road trip, Lovelies? Is there another road that should be on this list?

I like places better without roads. To add, the road between Durango and Silverton Colorado is a pretty nice stretch–also between Silverton and Ouray. I also like travelling county roads and US highways in the Midwest. I also took a pretty amazing little road outside of Weston, WV. For about 100ft the road is a creek, but most of the time it runs alongside it. Took it in fall when the leaves were changing.
