Christina Aguilera is back in a big way, with a new single, a reality TV gig and a new album coming out in the fall. We’ve already seen how ridiculous her most recent music video is, which had people wondering: would her album cover be just as crazy? Well it’s out, and while it may not have trailers and paint splatters, it’s definitely interesting…
After seeing the “Your Body” video, this definitely wasn’t what I was expecting. It feels like it’s trying a bit too hard (her Back to Basics cover was so simple and classy). Also, is all this lotus flower business just one big euphemism? Knowing Xtina, I have a sneaking suspicion that it might be. That’s a bit…odd. Bad cover or not, I look forward to hearing the singles off this! [via Gawker]

It seems like she was trying to go for simple but shocking, and I don’t think it had the effect she really wanted it to have. I’m not a fan of the cover, but I am interested in the songs.

I think the concept of a lotus is great for this album since it represents perseverance and purity. Makes sense since this is Christina’s first album since her divorce. I’m just disappointed that the cover has been photoshopped so much so that she’s lost her curvaceous, va-va-voom body. She’s still gorgeous though and and has a wonderful voice!

It looks kind of cheapy done. I’ve never been a big fan of artists using pictures of themselves as album atrwork, really.

for someone who seems so overly happy with her body being ‘curvy’ now, that is definitely so photoshopped.
by the way i’m not calling her fat but she should stop with the ‘i was tired of being a skinny white girl’ because that isn’t even a reasonable thing to say.
