When I first saw this image on my Pinterest feed, I thought “This can’t be real. Who would live in a house like this?” Turns out, the house is very much real (in Santa Monica, California!) and belonged to Ruth Handler, the creator of Barbie!
Truthfully, I was more of a Batgirl than a Malibu Barbie growing up, but this house is pretty freaking cool. Ruth Handler passed away in 2002, but it seems that the house is still there in Santa Monica.

I actually just walked past that house the other day! I didn’t know it was hers but I did think it was weird that it looked like a Barbie house. Now I know why

wow.. i could see the inside of the houses being barbie like.. but the outside?
pretty funky, not something id do.. i guess im more of a laid back person.. having an outstanding house with draw to much attention for me !
