As kids, we all wanted the good Disney characters to prevail against the bad guys. Naturally no one hoped to see Ariel get thrown back in the sea or Bambi get mounted on a well. (Well, no normal kids.) But with age comes new views of humor, and lots of us tend to laugh at the…darker sides of comedy. Artist Justin Turrentine seems to understand this, since he’s created a series of morbid (and awesome) drawings of what would have happened if Disney villains won. Check them out here!
Amazing! I think the Cruella one is the best, though they’re all pretty awesome. It’s darkly fun to see the re-imagined endings to these usually-happy classics. Head on over to Justin’s page to even more drawings! [via DeviantArt]
Which of these drawings is your favorite?

I love them all! These days, I admit, I relish the triumph of evil over good. Everything is too predictable: the good guys win in the end. What’s the fun in that? No, I love it when the oppressed “villain” wins a battle, or even better, wins it all.
Death and destruction. Yum.

Snow white is my favorite because you can see her hand with the apple in the background! It would have been more appropriate for Ursula if she was with Prince Eric.

I loved this all too much XD

If more villains would have won, there would be less little girls growing up believing that they are a pretty purty princess waiting for their knight in shining armor/prince charming.

Haha, I couldn’t help thinking upon looking at the Cinderella one, “Hm, did the stepsisters have to cut their feet to fit into those slippers..?” Brothers Grimm reference, don’t mind me ;D

The only one I would never be okay with winning, in any universe, is Cruella de Vil. You can mess with princesses all you like, but NEVER puppies. They are off-limits. I’d like to see her spend some time in prison for felony animal cruelty, though.

@burgerking781@xanga - I agree about Ursula! Honestly the evil brunette version of her (Vanessa) is one of my favorite Disney characters ever…

@amateurprose@xanga - LOL I wish Xanga had a LIKE button just for your comment!
@Erika_Steele@xanga - that’s probably quite true. Girls are totally disillusioned and delusional I think. I hear so many girls (read: grown women!) who whine “Where are all the good men?” but never realize that the answer is ”With the good women!” Imagine what society would be like if spoiled pricesses weren’t waiting around for their knights in shining armour to save them but were working and focusing on BEING good women instead!

@surveys_fortheteenageesoul@xanga - That is exactly where my mind went too. Grimm versions for the win.

As little kids, the happy endings are great. Good faith in humanity and all that. Teenagers and adults know better. Kudos to the the artist. Great pics!
