Ahh! I remember wanting 95% of these!! Stuff was so much more awesome in the 90′s. These dolls sold in the 1991 Mattel catalog brings back so many memories of being a kid it makes me want to go to Toys ‘R’ Us just to judge all the newfangled junk kids have these days.
Remember when things were simple and kids wanted toys because they smelled like cupcakes or came with a noise maker? I remember having a subscription to the Minnie & Me books that went with the toys. It was a fan club or something and they sent me a wallet (which I still have)… and that was enough to be exciting. All of a sudden, I feel like a cranky old grandma complaining about how present day toy technology is not something I can just accept. Kids these days….pshhh. Here are some awesome toys from the 1991 Mattel catalog.

Sadly I am not the awesome owner of any of these dolls because my family couldn’t afford to buy a lot of toys. Dolls were always generic ones. (I still called mine Barbie anyway.) That MC Hammer doll is so cool! Hahaha. I did just receive my first Barbie catalog not too long ago, I love looking at the collector’s items. To this day, I only have TWO Barbie dolls. One is a Vera Wang Romanticist bride my friend gave me one year for Christmas and the other is a 007 Pussy Galore doll I found at Walmart marked down to $10. I meant to give that 007 doll to my husband as a gag gift but he said I could keep it lol. (Because of the character’s name.)

I don’t remember much from being 4, but I know we were too young for barbies. I’ve always been more of a blocks/boys toys girl anyways. But I do remember polly pocket.

don’t forget Littlest Pet Shop! back when they were actually small.

I loved Polly Pockets! I used to own all of them. Every. Single. One.

I own the black benetton one (Christie) ! I also had one of the polly pocket showned. It was my favorite when I was a child. It ‘s funny to re-discover it.
