Usually when you hear about celebrities wearing ridiculously expensive things, the names Kardashian or Hilton are involved. But Kelly Osbourne caused a bit of a scandal at this year’s Emmys by sporting a real diamond manicure. Check it out by clicking here, and let us know if you would ever gussy up your nails to this extent!
Though her nails aren’t exactly sparkling like diamonds, that’s exactly what they’re adorned with. Unsurprisingly, Osbourne has faced plenty of backlash for her pricey nail art. But the usually-rebellious star actually seems to care about the criticism she’s getting:
I see that my nail polish has offended some of you, however I see your point, but it was a once in a lifetime experience,” she tweeted. Later she wrote, “I have a big mouth & i know it! I just don’t like knowing that I have unintentionally offended anyone! If its intentional I dont give a S**t.”
Osbourne says she didn’t pay for the manicure, but that she “was just lucky enough to be the one that got picked to wear it.” Perhaps with all this criticism, she isn’t feeling so lucky now. [via Styleist]
What do you think of this manicure? Would you ever get one if you had the money?

I get the style but these don’t look any different than they would with black rhinestones??? I don’t understand the need to spend ridiculous amounts of money just because you can

From a distance it doesn’t look like anything special–you can probably get the same look yourself, or something similar with rhinestones or glittery black polish. You can probably guess that I would not spend that kind of money on a manicure, even if I had mega-bucks. Geez, I won’t even spend the money on a gel mani-pedi.

I don’t get why people would freak out about this. I mean, celebrities are given millions of dollars in freebies to use/wear/advertise for companies. How is this any different?

It’s her money, I don’t see why people are making a big deal over it. These same people would be offended if the rest of the world told them how they should spend their money. Personally, I wouldn’t get it because I think it is ridiculous, but if I had that kind of money to spend, I really wouldn’t care what people said.

I think it’s fine to wear it, but moronically obnoxious to brag about it. Particularly because it doesn’t coordinate well with her dress whatsoever.

She’s a moron. lol

I think it’s super cute.

I think the critics didn’t realize it was a freebie.
I DO care when people SPEND
so
much money on things that are obviously not worth it. I think it is wrong to not point it out once in a while too. Now some will say “yeah but do YOU want to abandon all your luxuries and donate the rest?”…well, my nailpolishes cost about 3€ on average, and I am thankful everytime I buy something unnessecary and quickly get a bad conscience. It brings me joy too though. I know I will never abstain from all luxuries, because they make me happy and I want to be like everyone else, but I also know that I won’t push it to an extreme. I WANT nailpolish, shoes , clothes etc, but don’t have to choose the most expensive items, unless they support somethin (e.g. fair trade, a small business).
Plus stars are role models, that’s why they GIVE stuff like that to them…I don’t think it’s good when people want to get the same just to feel special.
But her taking a freebie? …her decision. I think it IS in fact nort worth that much, it’s just the brag factor that makes things like stones special and valuable. It’s not like anyone got rich much on the costs on others here. If you don’t like the idea don’t get it and the problem is solved.

That’s such a waste of diamonds.

It really just looks like black nailpolish with glitter. It’s definitely ridiculous. All that money for that…it’s insane. It’s not even good looking.

Can’t even see them.

She didn’t even pay for it! So lucky! Not that I can even see it from that picture? It’s hardly noticeable. But unrelated to her nail polish, she looks freaking amazing!
