If there was one show I loved growing up, it was Full House. The Olsen Twins are a year or two younger than me, so the airing of this show coincided nicely with my youth. It also (I’m, like, 95% sure about this) was my mom’s inspiration for dressing me.

I had so many brightly colored shoelace bows, over sized sweatshirts, slider bike shorts and scrunchies, it would make your head spin. And the feathered bangs worn so often on this show are the reason I hated the smell of hairspray as a kid. I remember dreading my mother fixing my bangs. She would reach up and cover my eyes with one hand, and I knew to prepare myself for the Aqua-Net fumes. The things women do for fashion….
