Funny lady Sarah Silverman is usually joking about, well, everything. And that’s what’s wonderful about her! But the issue she’s presenting in this video, even if it’s hilariously done, is a serious one that needs to be taken into account when you hit the polls later this year (because we all are, right guys?!): voter fraud laws. These are state laws that have been strongly criticized because of their apparent bias against those who are more likely to vote for Obama.
Also, as a warning: while the message is serious, Sarah Silverman’s particular brand of comedy almost always involves a fair amount of swearing. So, if you’re in a place where hearing some naughty words might not be appreciated, use discretion!
Voter fraud is a bizarre thing to be afraid of. Who would not only spend tons of money and time on a scam that would be remotely large enough to affect an entire state as well as risk the legal prosecution of the absurd number of people who would have to be involved in such a scheme? Uh, not many people even have the monetary means to do such a thing, let alone the willingness to take the chance of getting caught. But if literally thousands of people are not allowed to vote in several states…now that could affect an election.
So, depending on whether or not you have an ID with a photo or an address on it, you may or may not be able to vote in your state. If you live in PA, IN, FL, TN, MI, SD, ID, LA, KS, NH and GA, you definitely need a photo ID. This is different than any election prior, so be sure to
check what your state’s particular laws are.
Regardless of who you vote for, you are entitled to a vote. Stand up and be sure you’ll be counted.
Lovelies, what do you think of the voter fraud laws? Will you be voting this year?

Yes, I always vote, and I’m one of the lone rangers in the red state of Idaho. Last time I voted, the guy taking my voting ballot stating whether I’m a democrat or a republican made me turn it around so everyone at the table could see it. Not that I’m ashamed. Don’t assume that. Far from it. But I went home and made the call to the suits downtown, and to one of the t.v. stations, and voila, within an hour they weren’t doing that. It’s just a shame to screw with the voting process. Look at the first time George W. was elected, and what they did to those mainly black voters in Florida, and what the Supreme Court did, knowing full well fraud had been perpetrated. Don’t kid yourself. We are moving into some really dangerous territory here, and I give it ten years before there’s fighting in the streets about the poverty ridden people, billion dollar corporations paying no taxs, 1% of the riches getting all the tax breaks. Hell, we might as well be living in a monarchy, but then, we’d at least have healthcare for everyone. Jeepers.
