Are you a Nightmare fan? Looking to spice up your Halloween decor? Just want some cute quasi-goth stuff??? If so, check these out.
In case you’re not acquainted with the film, The Nightmare Before Christmas is essentially about the worlds of Christmas and Halloween combining. It was filmed entirely in the form of stop-motion animation, and is especially memorable for its really bizarre characters. Like Jack Skellington, the “Pumpkin King” who travels between the worlds of different holidays simply because he’s curious. Or Oogie Boogie, the character based on the Boogie Man legend who acts as the movie’s villain…
And of course we couldn’t forget Sally, the gorgeous Frankensteing-ish monster who’s quick with a needle…
The fan has actually gathered an immense fan base over the years, and they love the movie a lot. I freely admit, I’m one of the bigger fans of The Nightmare Before Christmas. I’ve seen it numerous times, including the RealD version that was only showing in theaters four years ago. I own the insane extended version of the soundtrack that includes the Marilyn Manson cover of “This is Halloween.” I’ve even been to the Haunted Mansion-Nightmare crossover when it was going on at Disneyland!
It’s a really fun movie, mostly because the worlds of Christmas and Halloween had never before crossed before this movie. As holidays, they were totally and completely separated. But when this movie came about, both of the holidays featured started to be seen in whole new ways. Needless to say, this movie has come to represent Halloween for me — the thrill of dressing up, all the decorative details, and even the weird thrill of being scared by something. So I found the coolest Nightmare commemorate stuff on Etsy for your enjoyment. Because if you’re going to buy cool Halloween swag, you might as well buy it from a cool non-professional crafter, right?
Are you a fan of The Nightmare Before Christmas? Do any films in particular that represent Halloween to you?

I just bought the movie! I so want to watch it now now that you mention it. I also like Corpse Bride, The Rocky Horror Picture Show (which I have this movie), Coraline and Hocus Pocus. I think that is about it. There may be more but The Nightmare Before Christmas and Rocky Horror Picture Show tend to top the list.

Ohh the amount of money this movie has caused me to spend…
I’m amazed by stop motion animation. I saw Paranorman recently as well and I just think it’s the coolest thing. But yeah, Nightmare is classic and just makes me feel happy and romantic. I love the gear too.
