I was reading one of my favorite blogs, A Cup of Jo, this morning and was very pleased to find that she has a DIY for making your own colorblock flats! It’s such an easy to freshen up a plain old pair of flats for fall! Here’s how to get this awesome look, and the things you’ll need:

You’ll need: Clean dry canvas or cotton ballet flats, painter’s tape, Mod Podge, paint sponges, a ruler and a favorite shade of paint.

Make sure that the tape is equal on both shoes, and press down on the tape to create a seal.

Apply the Mod Podge over the area you’re going to paint (and be sure to paint some on the tape too) and wait for it to dry completely.

Apply your favorite shade of paint and wait for it to dry.

Then use a utility knife to cut the tape off, revealing your fancy new shoes!

I’ve also included some lovely colorblock inspiration in the gallery! Be sure and check it out!

Would you try this super-easy DIY? What colors would you choose?
