Why did she get a rep to do damage control? Why couldn’t she herself say that? I think it would be more meaningful. 

@Foodhog@xanga - Because all celebs have their reps talk on behalf of them for damage control… Even if it were the celebs, themselves, that spoke, their reps still told them what to say.

She is entitled to her opinion, but I don’t expect anything smart to come out of her lips.  Regardless of how intelligent, or politically correct her representative is, there is nothing anyone can say to undo the damage Paris has done.

Yeah, I don’t think she is homophobic at all. While I can see what she meant, I think that her words are too blunt– she just need party less and find more introverted gay male friends, lol.

I’m sorry, are we just gonna ignore that some cabbie recorded this? She didn’t go out and post this on twitter or shout it for the world to hear. It’s her opinion and I may not agree with it but damn people!

That’s pretty insensitive, but at the same time… I’m not surprised at all by her comments.

How is what she said shocking? She’s a bubble-headed girl living in a fantasy world, famous because she was lucky enough to be born into a wealthy ass family. No one takes what she says seriously, hopefully. Let her think gays are “disgusting” I am sure no matter what sexual orientation you are, you probably think SHE is disgusting, because lets face it — she is. I have to say, it’s one thing to be openly against people as someone in the public, and especially gay marriage, and another to find it icky and make an exaggerated remark in a situation were you think you aren’t heard.
I do think she’s comes across as a terrible person though.
The attempt of damage control makes it worse somehow. As if he wanted to say “well, she was sort of right”. I also wonder why she didn’t make a statement herself. To me it looks
like she doesn’t care and leans back while letting someone clean up the
mess. 

It’s kind of amusing how different the comments are on xanga vs the site linked. Everyone on the other site is like “What? She was just saying the truth”

I can relate as stupid as it sounds. 

On a game message board, I discriminated LGBT by accident.  How do you do that you ask?  Lemme guide u through it.

I wrote a thread using the word segregation and LGBT because one person outed him/herself on the world chatboard.  My reasoning was here’s a person that needs support within his or her own sex orientation group not a bunch of strangers so I suggested he/she in reality the whole sub-culture to join clubs if they want to talk about their orientation.

Well the cavalry not the best word more like infantry came and it got ugly.  To this day I still get backlash from that game saying I am a disgrace and I think LGBT are disgusting when I didn’t spew a single hateful word towards them.  They had the funny notion of comparing my club segregation idea to concentration camps.  A club by definition that is exclusive, posh and open to dismissal to a concentration camp where people are trapped, tortured and killed…

Sigh, what can u do if u write stupid things  Accept the just as stupid backlash.  I don’t have a  PR team to save me butt (or buts).

I’m not overly concerned about her opinion. She is not a politician, she isn’t using her money or (ha) fame to promote hate against homosexuals. Whether she meant the comment her not, it doesn’t seem like it will effect the world in anyway. It’s not like everyone is going to start hating gay people because of Paris Hilton.

I’m sorry but she was talking in a cab with her friend, and don’t act like you’ve never said anything along the lines of this about other groups that shouldn’t be made fun of. Her privacy was completely invaded. I say stupid shit to my best friend all the time. I don’t expect people to record it and expose it to the public. We can’t pretend Paris Hilton is the smartest person in the world. I think what the rep says makes total sense. 

People on this comment section are so stupid. Paris is looking for attention. But she was recorded by a cab driver, it’s not like she shouted it to the world. And gay isn’t PC? Ever heard of the LGBT  community? Ever wonder what that G stands for?

It’s her opinion. Why does every single anti-gay opinion have to hit the news….?

It happens a lot where only parts of conversations are exposed and make people look like shit. So I am not bothered by this conversation nor would I be regardless. She can feel how she wants about anything! Is no one else repulsed by this cab driver recording her? Maybe he should be scrutinized too.
