I am beginning to think that there are sometimes literal competitions between celebrities to see who can get away with more stuff without harsh punishment. And it would appear that a certain redheaded star with a penchant for drinking and driving is now winning! Not a week post-Amanda Bynes bashing, Lindsay Lohan shocked the world almost nobody by allegedly clipping a pedestrian with her car in New York City late Tuesday night.

According to TMZ, Lohan allegedly hit a man’s knee while pulling in to park her Porsche (try saying that 5 times fast) near the Dream Hotel downtown. She was arrested around 2:30am, apparently crying out, “Call my dad! Call my dad!” while being taken into custody. She’s also denying the allegations:

Lohan is calling the incident ‘really fishy’ because the man didn’t appear to have any visible injuries and feels she’s the victim of a set up. She’s not going to let the incident go and is planning on fighting it to the end. Surveillance video of the Lindsay accident appears to show her accuser was exaggerating.

The accuser, however, stated that Lohan was “slurring her words.” So, hopefully this is actually an exaggeration on the accuser’s part, although Amanda Bynes (who is equally as unqualified as Lohan to comment on matters involving cars) might call it poetic justice. Either way, I really hope we stop hearing about car incidents involving those two specific people. Who knows? I think I’ll just never understand celebrities.
