I love this look. Finally, I don’t have to feel so bad about my self-styling practices. Normally, I shower at night, flip my hair upside-down and braid it in two sections. Then in the morning, I take it down, curl any straight pieces with my flat iron and straighten the ends. The result is a mismatched collection of curls, which I prefer to uniform curls and waves. My hair is stick straight if I don’t do this and I find it looks more natural than using a curling iron or curl stick. It also takes a lot less time.
Two-textured hair was found on the runway for Rebecca Minkoff Spring 2013 and the second I saw this my heart jumped. I’m not crazy for loving and wearing the two-textured look!! I think it is a great style for anyone with mid-length hair and they want to avoid “Shirley Temple curls.” Check out this awesome video from backstage at Rebecca Minkoff and learn how to achieve this look on your own!
