Remember how we posted the outfit above recently, wondering whether or not it was a hit? Many of you felt that while the outfit was nice enough, her hair was horrible. Well, it turns out that the hair is here to stay. In fact, this morning she wore it on television.

If anything, it’s interesting. But interesting does not a good outfit make, folks, and I’m not a huge fan of it. The muted purple would be prettier in a softer style with her pale skin, but in this, it really is a little too Whovillesque. The whole hairstyle takes away from whatever outfit she’s wearing and makes it about the hair (which is fine, if the style is aesthetically pleasing). I think her face and clothes often look gorgeous, but an awkward hairstyle detracts quite a bit. I also am sort of opposed to the idea of just doing things because it “bugs people”; it feels a little too much like middle school reasoning for my taste. I personally liked her significantly better before she became a celebrity mean girl, but to each their own! She’s definitely more of a mainstream beauty and fashion icon now, so if that’s what she was going for, she succeeded.

As part of a family known for their ridiculous styles and antics, it’s somewhat expected that she’ll be sporting strange hairdos (and donts). Check out some more of Kelly’s hairstyles over the years below!
