Last night, I spent almost an hour on Netflix trying to find even one movie that sounded interesting. More Workaholics? No. Drive, for the fifth time? Nah. And then I found it, the perfect movie:
She’s All That.
I hadn’t seen the 90’s teen favorite since, well, the 90’s. Watching it again at the ripe age of 22 was like a trip down memory lane. Kind of a dirty trip, though, because I never realized how inappropriate that movie was for my nine-year-old self.
But darn, was Freddy Prinze Jr. looking as good as ever!
It got me thinking about all the other teen movies I grew up watching and falling in love with — after all, those movies were the reason high school was one big disappointment for me!

Which ones were your favorites? Anything missing from my list?

Out of all the teen movies made in the mid-to late 90′s and early 2000′s… She’s All That is my absolute favorite. And I didn’t realize this until about 2008. I wish they made teen movies like they used to. And that statement alone just aged me a lot.

10 Things I Hate About You was my favorite, because of the Shakespeare references.

@flapper_femme_fatale@xanga - I’m almost positive 10 Things I hate About you referenced Shakespeare a lot because it was based of
The Taming of the Shrew.

clueless and cruel intentions definitely need to be on this list. i don’t think its a teen movie really but it is definitely a chick flick- Romi and Michelles High School Reunion

@babybug329@xanga - Yes, definitely your list.

Was The Faculty made in the 90′s? If so, that should have been on here.

siighs, I miss the 90s!

I’ve seen less than half of those. I was born in 1990, and sheltered (which I’m glad of, in some aspects). Actually, Varsity Blues and American Pie, I saw after my husband and I started dating. We went on a teen comedy rental binge. I miss those days.

I used to be all over Jennifer Love Hewitt. Good stuff.

What, no Encino Man?

10 things i hate about you is one of my favorite movies, period.
back then, i really loved bring it on, american pie, and save the last dance. i recently saw drive me crazy and enjoyed it more than i’d like to admit, mainly because adrian grenier is heavenly.

@LadyGwenivere@xanga - I haven’t seen Election in AGES. Totally gonna go watch it now.

I was still a kid, so I didn’t really care for chick flicks. I really liked Last Action Hero, Jingle All the Way and the original Total Recall movie. arnold schwarzeneggar movies were so cool to the kid me and I still like them now that I’m semi-older
I also liked jim carrey’s movies; The Mask, The Truman Show, Dumb & Dumber, Ace Ventura Pet Detective and Ace Ventura-When Nature Calls. I have Clueless on vhs tape. I watched that movie so many times. I loved their style at the time and even bought the schoolgirl knee high tights with my skirt outfit
paul rudd is so dreamy
