Announcement: now that Amanda Bynes has EIGHT illegal vehicular mishaps under her belt (the one before this occurred yesterday), I think I’m going to just stop reading and writing about them. They’re hardly even surprising anymore, and unless something breaking happens (like, say, she goes to jail for driving drunk/without a license/hitting a car), I’m just going to look the other way. Now, with that being said, here’s the scoop on her most recent incident:
According to the source, Bynes hit another car just hours after a judge ordered that she stop driving with a suspended license. Apparently the star tried to cover her face when the incident happened, and the two drivers did not exchange information. One LA cop told TMZ that Bynes “scares the shit” out of the police, and insists that “the public should be afraid of her.” [via Gawker]

I would have to agree, that the public should be concerned about her driving ability. Actually, I was pretty concerned after the first 2 incidents that I heard about…especially since I do sometimes drive through Los Angeles. Yikes. Unfortunately, if she gets sentenced to jail, she won’t be serving much, if any time.

I have a real problem. When I’m out driving, I keep running into other cars! I usually don’t stop to make sure the driver’s okay or to see what kind of damage I’ve done. I just drive on my merry way! The judge keeps telling me that I need to stop driving my car because it’s a danger to other drivers on the road and has even taken my license away. Today I was driving about and it happened again! maybe she has a disorder or something. It is said (or well, proven I think) that most women can not estimate spaces as well as most men and that’s why women aren’t as good at parking. The differences are not so striking in most people, but if you have an extreme form of being unable to do that you might end up hitting cars. Who knows. Or it’s an obsession she has.
“the public should be afraid of her” is pretty dramatic, but maybe she really needs a car that helps her park better.
That she just runs off really sucks though.

When celebrities pull stuff like this, their “we’re totally normal just like you!” image goes out the window. If I don’t pay 8 parking tickets, I would get my license taken away. If I got into 8 vehicular mishaps, I as well as most people would prrooooobably be in jail. Guh, special treatment is so depressing; it’s bad for everybody involved, including the celebrity who will never understand “consequences.”
