Nope, these nails do not tickle my fancy.  I can barely manage short acrylics…let alone triple layered ones.

Oh dear GOD!  It looks like a high fashion nail infection (warning don’t click it is repulsive and I am serious).

Awkward!  I could never deal with that even for a few minutes.  It’d be okay on mannequins though.

@Erika_Steele@xanga - ew nail infections are sick. when I was in cosmetology school we learned about all kinds of nail infections. the book had way too many photos…….blargchhh

@Beb3Lika@xanga & @katie - If it makes you guys feel any better, I have extremely long nails and nothing gets trapped under as long as you wash your hands constantly! Although I imagine this style would be even harder to maintain the cleanliness of…and to be honest, I think they’re pretty unattractive But I too love the colors, especially the pink.

Is this one of those instances where the nails are supposed to portray a message of wealth i.e. you don’t have to do ANY work with your hands? Couldn’t even unload a dishwasher without breaking those.

Fake nails are wonderful…those just look like something is seriously wrong.

This is like one of those fashions which you never see in actual life, like integrating knee pads into an outfit when you’re not skating. There are plenty of channels for practical creativity, yet there’s still plenty of stuff like this.

@katie - @Erika_Steele@xanga - all I can picture is ripping off your actual nail, that is how it tends to look lol.

I also remember cosmetology infection pictures.@samescobar - It is probably easier to keep long nails clean underneath because there is less of a ridge for dirt to get scraped into (if that makes sense)

Agghhhh NOT!! I thought her nails were ripping off for a minute! Now they remind me of sharks’s teeth where the rows and rows of teeth just keep growing under the top ones. Ughhhh it gives me the heebie jeebies! And yes, I agree, they would collect a lot of junk/dirt AND would get caught on everything. How annoying (and painful) for them to get ripped off if you were trying to reach into pockets or a purse.

I totally don’t see the point at all. It looks like some stupid thing some 13 yr old came up with at a sleep over party, not posh, not fashionable, just dumb.
