Actress Emma Watson recently stepped out on the red carpet to promote her new film, The Perks of Being a Wallflower. And although she looked absolutely stunning, it seems that her dress didn’t exactly fit right up top. The result: a mild wardrobe malfunction.
Having grown up in an era of truly explicit nip-slips and crotch flashes (thanks Lindsay, Britney, Paris and the rest), this isn’t really that bad. And Watson seems to be wearing pasties, too. Nonetheless, some critics and fans alike are clutching their pearls over the accident. I guess some people just can’t handle seeing a child star make (very minor) adult mistakes. Emma, just keep up the good acting and pick out a better dress next time. [via Buzzfeed]

It’s a mistake because her clothing moved? =/

I give her more props because she’s wearing something that covers her nipples. She clearly thought ahead and planned. Unlike the free for all to see our crotches phase some celebrities went through.

I’m not really a fan of the top of the dress in the first two pictures, but it isn’t a bad wardrobe malfunction. Like there hasn’t been ones that have been a million times worse. This just looks like her top moved a little bit and at least she was prepared for that possibly happening.

People need to stop making such big deals over this kind of stuff.

meh. shes wearing something over her boob. fail.

If she went topless who gives a shit? I am pretty sure we have seen a nipple at one point in our lives…a bit immature isn’t this?

I can’t believe people got so upset over this! Some people just need to untwist their panties–we’ve got far bigger issues to be concerned about than Emma Watson’s breast showing.

The poor kid can’t sneeze without it being news. I feel sorry for her being in the public microscope so much.

wow not a big deal at all

She wore pasties, she is not a “provocative” young women, her dress is really pretty… no problem. It can happen.

The pastie is what looks unattractive; it might have been oversized. I agree that the top is too slingy for her and that she was thoughtful to provide herself the modesty that she did. On a side note, there seems to be some way of getting a dress to cling to your boobs; I’ve noticed other celebs who have managed that some how. Duct tape?

@Rocky@revelife - There is double-sided nipple tape that they make now that clings to you and the part of the fabric that is supposed to be over the area. That’s how models are able to wear super low-cut tops on the runway without it all flying open for the world to see!

@LoneDarkness@xanga - Thanks for the info. I’ll have to try that on my manboobs… sorry, TMI

I just can’t wrap my head around the fact that some people get upset about this stuff.

Given all her wardrobe mishaps, it would be silly if she didn’t take counter measures to prevent possible nip-slip for the umpteenth time. No complaints.

It would have been better if she didn’t have a pastie over her nipple. Normal nipples accidently showing? It happens. Massive, darker-flesh colored pastie mimicking a ginormous, National Geographic-sized nipple? Ick FAIL!
Oh, and perhaps we should stop calling her a “child star.” She’s in her twenties… and calling her a child just gives an extra level of “ick” to the incident.

@JadeMaster2@xanga - Yeah, for real. Of course she’s gorgeous and rich and thin and at a prestigious university so I don’t feel TOO sorry for her…

OMG!!! This is far worse than American diplomats being ambushed!
