Mother Monster is definitely infamous for her crazy fashion choices. But her biggest move yet was done out of love, mourning the mom of a dear friend.


 
Now, we don’t have a full-on picture of Lady Gaga’s hair yet. It looks like she hasn’t shaved off all of her hair, too. But there’s definitely a big dent in her ‘do, and the diamond groove was definitely made thanks to a buzzer. I think it’s enough to count the Lady as one of the many celebs in the past few years to shave their heads.

But there’s a bit more conviction behind Lady Gaga’s decision to shave her head besides fashion. Earlier this week, the mom of fashion photographer Terry Richardson (with whom Lady Gaga made a photography book) died at the age of 74. In response, Lady Gaga shaved off part of her hair, and tweeted that she did it to honor Terry’s loss. There might have also been an allusion to her new song, but you can judge the relevance for yourself:
