With the departure of Kristen Wiig and Abby Elliott from SNL, I kind of wanted to believe that maybe the era of funny women on the show was over for a little bit. But lo and behold, this morning I fell in love with one of the newest additions to the cast, Aidy Bryant. So, I guess I’ll have to continue watching this next season.
Three new cast members were announced, Aidy being one of them. I instantly had to look her up. With my fingers crossed, I watched her video, Let’s Share (check it out under the cut!)… and I am hooked. Thank goodness for Lorne Michaels’ and his brilliant casting of this amazing woman. And the reign of funny women on SNL continues….
