So, I know everybody and their mother has a girl crush on Emma Stone. It’s nothing groundbreaking. But hear me out, because I don’t just like her, I love her.
It all started back when Superbad came out. I thought she was so different than all other rising starlets—not only did she have her own unique look, she was also hilarious. And then Zombieland, The Housebunny, and Easy A came out and I was downright hooked.
I’m talking Google-image-searching-her-name-for-hours hooked; I had the hardest time limiting pictures for this post…
She’s beautiful and has a great sense of style (it’s refined yet youthful), but Emma’s appeal is hardly surface-deep. In interviews she comes across as so down to Earth, you’d swear she could be your best friend (or is that just me?). Nerds love her, and she’s got a great sense of humor to boot.
And did you read her recent Teen Vogue article? She didn’t allow her interview to focus on fashion and beauty, like so many women’s interviews inevitably do—she had too many other important things to talk about. Good for her!
I think Hollywood is starting to recognize her prowess, because she’s already starred in The Help, which received an Oscar nod, summer’s biggest hit The Amazing Spider-Man, and next up is Gangster Squad, another drama with Ryan Gosling. Swoon-city, am I right?!
Anyways, what more is there to say? Every time someone says I look like her, I pee a little.
That’s true love.
On a scale of 1 to 10, how much do you Lovelies love Emma Stone?

10! I love Emma Stone, I think she’s so adorable and funny! She looks like she’s glad to be where she is, especially the red carpet events–her smile looks genuine. She doesn’t seem like she’s the kind of woman who tries to fit into the mold of what society finds beautiful by surgically altering herself. Many actress in her age group have already gone under the knife to make themselves look more like…someone else. She just seems like the kind of girl I’d like as a friend.

To be honest, I’m not a huuuuge fan of her. She’s extremely pretty, but almost every time she’s on screen, I get really really bored.
Although The Help was great! In everything else, though, she seems like most other young twenty-something actors: pretty eyes, thin frame, averagely trendy style.

I find her to be decidedly different from a lot of the young Hollywood circle. I mean, if you’re saying she’s like most other young actresses, based solely on her looks, that’s a bit silly. She’s really funny, and she also has the ability to be serious (Like that scene in Paper Man where she discovers Kieran Culkin’s character hung himself? I cry every time.) Plus she just seems so damn awesome in interviews. Very grounded, like she’s not caught up in the whole starlet thing.

She’s cool, but I counter with Emma Watson as my Girl Crush of the Century. Brains, beauty, and personality! Oh, not to mention her versatility as an actress. You should check out some of the interviews she’s done.

Yes!!! Love her

I’m indifferent towards her. She’s funny and is a pretty decent actress but while I love her red hair, her features are a little too intense and makes her look like a bitch too me.

I like her and she’s a pretty damn good actress, but she just seems… boring? i don’t know, too good? i’ve never heard anything about her that’s quirky or different o.0

I thought it was a little ironic hearing she was natural blonde and then Jud Apatow says you’ll look good as a redhead. She does, but considering the apparent desirability of blondes you’d think when you find a natural one maybe leave her that way? Anyway, I think she’s all right.

She is pretty cool. Also, extremely beautiful. I’m just not impressed by the way she acts superior to the very industry that pays her. To wear a glamorous wardrobe and be a millionaire and then act like Teen Vogue’s fashion questions are beneath you is kinda silly, but she’s definitely not the only star guilty of this nowadays. Ultimately, yes, I like her. Just not based on how “down to earth” and “deep” she is.
