Boots and booties are my favorite types of shoes. Not only can they range from cute to couture to sexy, they also are way more comfortable for me to wear than most other shoes. I’m incapable of walking in most non-boot types of heels (especially ones without straps), flats hurt my feet and sandals look terrible on me. Therefore, boots are the best option! And fall is the best time to search for new styles and colors of boots. Check out this list for colorful, inexpensive and pretty picks. Plus, most of ‘em are vegan-friendly!

1. Suede Ankle Rhinestone Embellished Bootie, $35

Any form of red boot = amazing, in my opinion. I love when you can see a person’s feet from a block away because of their shoes’ brightness. The button detail makes this boot remind me of Disney, for some reason.

2. H&M Boots in Burgundy, $35

I love the way this shoe is split between faux suede and faux leather. Even though it definitely makes them edgier and more interesting, it’s subtle enough that these could be worn to work or any formal function.

3. Slice Knowing You Bootie, $49.99

Guh, I love these. Although I personally know I couldn’t walk in them, I want to live vicariously through whomever may opt to buy these. They’re perfect to dress up any outfit and also the absolute best unintentionally Halloween boots I’ve ever seen.

4. Forever21 Violet Zippered Boot, $36.80

Guh, this color is so gorgeous. I can see this working with most fall outfits, but especially with a pair of skinny jeans and a light top.

5. Miss Me Rity in Chestnut, $49.99

These are much more neutral than the others, but I love the way the heel and buckle contrast so well with the primarily color of the shoe. They look sturdy and functional, too; perfect to transition into winter weather with.

6. Fahrenheit “Anne-31″ Yellow Booties, $46

I love anything pale yellow and these are no exception. The marbling pattern threw me off at first glance, but I actually love the way it reflects the fluid, wavy structure of the boot itself.

7. Stella Nappa Boots, $49.99

The picture shoes black, but Chinese Laundry has these in mauve, viola (burgundy) and white; sorry, I can’t find pictures of the boots in those colors! I think these are fantastic, albeit a little strange, and would look best in the burgundy shade they list online. Plus, they’re marked down from $81!

8. Chooka Boot in Eggplant, $48.30

I know rain boots aren’t a lot of people’s style since we left elementary school, but sometimes it’s just too drizzly to walk around in anything else. You might as well have some fun ones that’ll brighten up a gloomy day!

9. Lady In Rad Boot In Aqua, $39.99

This shade of turquoise plus the adorable shape is making me fall in love with these boots.

10. Jacobies by Beston “Break-1″ Ankle Bootie, $48

Guh, flat, lace-up red boots with an adorable buckle and a plaid interior? I love it. These, I am ordering as soon as I get my next paycheck.

Bonus: Viva Secret Laci Stud Ankle Boot, $15

I almost didn’t list these because they’re not bright, but they’re also so adorable and inexpensive I felt like I should. I’m not usually one for fur (even when it’s imitation) but for $15, I definitely want to pick these up for the chillier evenings in fall. In fact, the entire website these are from only has items priced for $15. If you’re on a budget, check it out!
