There are a few words I just can’t spell. I’m going to list them, but first I want you to know that my the spell check on my macbook had to work really hard to figure these out. Restaurant, guarantee, definitely and meringue. Now, I’m not a dumb girl, and I get those words pretty close, usually just a letter off. But for some reason, I just can’t spell them right the first time.
On that note, I’d like to make it clear that if I can’t spell a word, I look it up. I don’t just send horribly misspelled words into cyber space. Even though I have admitted my spelling short comings here, does not mean I want people to think I’m a dummy because I couldn’t take 2 seconds to spell check my tweet or Facebook post. Unfortunately, these people did not take those 2 seconds.

True story (& proof I’m a huge lifelong Winnie the Pooh fan): I thought my whole life that honey was spelled h-u-n-n-y. When I was a sophomore in high school, we had to watch a video on volcanos & write a paper on it & one of the lines was “The lava is thick & flows like honey” & I rewrote it for my paper but I used the h-u-n-n-y spelling & my teacher gave me this kind of “what the heck??” look & that was the only word I spelled in correctly. XD I seriously didnt know honey was spelled a different way. I laughed about it then & now.
I try not to get on people too much on spelling because my generation was hooked on phonics. We were taught to sound it out & spell it the best you can until you can correct it. If I see a whole sentence butchered or a bad paper, then you didnt bother paying attention in class.

Things that make me shake my head. There should probably be a spelling and grammar test before you are allowed social media access.

@MZ_BUBBLEZ213 –
!! I’m glad! That’s gonna be my baby shower theme too. I’d rather my kid grow up on that than the crappy shit on tv today.
