The mental Rolodex of tattoo ideas I have doesn’t have a trace of “the now” in it. Everything I have been itching to ink is from my past and has stuck with me ever since. The tattoos that I’m leaning more to are the generational icons, the collective symbols of the 90s that upon glancing can ignite a connection between strangers, reminiscing of our childhoods and familiar notions of our past. Have you ever thought of getting your favorite cartoon character(s) tattooed? These people did – let’s take a walk down memory lane and see which cartoons they forever enshrined!
Presumably, thinking of The Cartoon to tattoo downright floods your brain with a ton of TV shows. And now we’re wondering how we got anything done with all the televised magic we were provided with throughout childhood. The original X-Men series is on Netflix Instant Queue now, and re-watching it, the animation is crappier than I remember but I feel like I’ve been placed back into my old living room, rooting for Jubilee and thinking Wolverine needs to calm down.
Cartoons are such a huge part of our pasts, and the nostalgia is always worth revisiting. Also, whenever I eat a chili dog, I think of Sonic:

Mario isn’t really a cartoon but I have the green 1UP mushroom which takes up the whole top of my foot. I was told I should put more thought into what I was doing and maybe choose something else to get tattooed. It has been a year and a half and I love it more then I did when I got it!

Some of these are in stupid places. Don’t people think about employment? Who’s going to hire you when you have a tom and Jerry on your hands. Or sonic the hedgehog around your entire arm. People never think about where they put tattoos, before they get them done. The famous line “sorry, we’re not hiring” goes through my head often when I see shit like this.

No. I would feel insane with Jem or GI Joe tattooed any where on my body. I wish I knew what my friend thought about her Thing 1 on right breast and Thing 2 on Left breast decision.

There are loads of cartoons and classic video games I’m nostalgic for, but I would not get a tattoo of anything on my skin. I’m terrified of needles and I’d rather go bungee jumping if someone dare as an alternative option.

i personally wouldn’t. but my 7th grade teacher (keep in mind he was a 40 yr old man) had winnie the pooh on his cab. he told us that in his family, when they were kids, they had tattoos made (at age 10 or less).. it’s really cute if you think about it. but keep in mind the tattoo is going to look stupid (for me) when you’re a grown man. but whatev.. to each his own

Eh…if I had the strong urge to, I’d just get a simple and small black wing tattoo on a location where people won’t notice but then I wouldn’t be able to visit Japanese bath-houses anymore (because they don’t accept people in if they have tattoos on).
