Sick and tired of your regular ol’ cereal and milk? Get inspired from the wicked breakfasts from different nations!
Today, I had for my breakfast eggs cooked with mixed cheese and a piece of bread with apricot jam. I think that puts me closest cuisine-wise to the Egyptian breakfast up at the top. Though I am curious to see what that red spice is…do any Lovelies out there recognize it?
However, more interesting than finding breakfasts in other countries that are similar to what I eat are breakfasts that are way different than mine. I understand that probably not everyone in these countries eats breakfasts exactly like these pictures. But all the same — I can’t even imagine eating as much fruit for breakfast as the photographer suggests they do in Hawaii. I’m an Oregonian, I’d probably just grab the bagel and go!
In any case though, I’m glad that breakfast is being eaten all over the world. It is indeed the healthiest meal of the day, so why not make it yummy and wonderful? Even if your version of yummy is a mountain of fruit as opposed to say, some delicious black pudding…

Which of these breakfasts is your favorite? Are any of them similar to what you normally eat for breakfast?

Awesome post! Living in the UK, I am not really a big fan of the typical Scottish breakfast (I can’t stand black pudding, baked beans, fried eggs and bacon.
But I think my favorite will be a combination of the Brazilian and the French breakfast! So simple and easy.
And, you cannot go wrong with an egg mcmuffin from McDonalds. lol.

@pinktrebleclef@xanga - Scottish breakfast? That’s just a British fry-up.

They all look pretty good. The Filipino culture’s breakfast menu consists of “_____silog”. Basically it’s a choice of meat (a hot or spicy sausage, marinated beef slices, marinated pork slices, different cooking styles of fish, etc.) that fills in the blank part of the dish’s name, and then is always paired with garlic fried rice and 2 fried eggs, which is the “silog” in the name (combined the two Tagalog words onto one… SInaag and itLOG).

@daydreams_nightmares@xanga - It’s not. Scottish breakfasts have potato scones, Scottish black puddings and sliced (square) sausages, and occasionally haggis (rare in chains though).
How do I know? I live in Glasgow.
