Democrat or Republican, I think we can all agree that Michelle Obama looked pretty amazing during her speech at the Democratic National Convention last night. (Hey Ann Romney, I liked your RNC Oscar de la Renta dress, too!) But while Michelle’s Tracy Reese frock is drawing lots of attention from fashionistas, her manicure is getting almost as much sartorial press. The blue-grey hue is a perfect transitional color from summer to fall, and people are already trying to slap it on their nails. If you, too, are one of those folks, then click here to find out how to get the First Lady’s manicure!

There were a few guesses as to what brand Obama was wearing during her speech. To get the look, you could certainly drop some dough on Chanel’s color, “Sky Line”:

OPI even gave a press release guessing that she was wearing their shade, “I Don’t Give a Rotterdam,” pictured below:

However, as it turns out, the First Lady was wearing Artistic Colour‘s shade “Vogue,” which I personally like best of all three:

Yes, yes: I know that elections are about the politics, not the fashions. But it’s fun (and, frankly, relaxing) to occasionally step back from their arguments, issues and overall seriousness. I am certainly going to make a thoroughly-informed decision this November, but who’s to say I can’t enjoy the bright, fashionable spots along the way? Expect to see this excellent shade in drugstores soon; I know I’ll be sporting it! [via Fashionista, Refinery 29]

What do you think of this shade? Is it silly to enjoy political fashion while still being politically conscious?
