Our First Lady Michelle Obama took to the stage at the Democratic National Convention on Tuesday night, and she looked real good doing so.
Her custom printed Tracy Reese frock faded from a pink to a dusty blue as it flared at the bottom. The ladylike fit was modest, classic and still managed to show of those super-toned guns of hers. But the best part? Probably the sly little cutout on the back — très chic, Michelle! She paired the dress with pink J. Crew pumps and a very of-the-moment grey manicure.
I love that Mrs. Obama has consistently transformed traditionally-stuffy political attire into a world of fresh colors and shapes. This DNC’s outfit was no exception: I think her dress choice was flattering, graceful and bold, the perfect statement piece for the convention!
I can’t decide which I liked better, the dress or Michelle’s incredibly inspiring speech. All I know is I’m nurturing a serious girl crush on our First Lady.
But what do you Lovelies think?

I like it. She pretty much rocks.

It is not flattering at all. Fabric looks cheap, like she should be serving you at the local Noodle house. Shoes are nice though.

Not a fan of the fabric at all, and the neckline makes her shoulders look odd to me.

She looks great! And she is such an inspiration. Go Michelle!

The pink goes really well with her skin tone!

I’ll be honest, I didn’t love the dress. I don’t like the pattern. I heard people talking about it and I thought it couldn’t be the dress I saw, but now I see that it was. However, her speech was certainly much more inspiring than her dress. Her speech was amazing.

I despise the dress… I just like the material it’s made of. Also, her speech was good, but nothing earth shattering.

I don’t like the dress but she wears it well.

Pretty dress and she has the figure to pull it off (I’m jealous!)

Holy crap she looks freakin amazing.

I don’t like the straps on the dress but it’s a really nice conservative dress they’re hard to find. The color is really good on her.

love it!

definite hit! she hit it out of the park with that speech and that dress. go barack!

Yeah, I’m not a fan of that dress. The color looked cheap and the design didn’t flatter her. I think she would have looked great in maybe a simple, white linen dress with a black bodice to emphasize her waist. This dress made her look thick-waisted and somewhat tacky.
Still, her speech was A-MAZING , so who cares?
