As much as I love wearing orangey reds and sheer pastels in the spring and summer, I live for fall colors. Neutrals, metallics, and berry shades all the way! Here are the 4 shades that have me even more excited (if that’s possible) for the arrival of Autumn.
I’m loving the metallic trend and the soft neutrals for Fall… What do you think? These colors are also super easy to find with other brands if you’re trying to save a little money (or if you plan on spending all most of your money on Starbucks seasonal drinks like me). But after trying a ton of different nail polish brands, I’ve fallen in love with Essie. Their polishes are long-lasting, and as long as I apply a top coat, I hardly ever have to reapply. Essie polishes are typically a bit pricier than the other drug-store polishes at around $8 a bottle, but I don’t go through their bottles having to constantly reapply to chipped nails like I do with most of the less-expensive brands. I’ve had pretty good luck finding Essie polishes at most drug stores, along with Target and the occasional Wal-Mart, but if Essie isn’t available in your area, you can find these shades (from top to bottom) here, here, here, and here.
What are some of your nail color essentials for Fall?

I usually pick colors I like, I don’t really buy new colors for each season because they’re trendy. For fall, I like burgundy and deep berry colors. I haven’t tried Essie yet, but I do want to. I heard so many good things about the brand. Some of my nail color are drugstore brands, mostly Sally Hansen and Revlon and the others are China Glaze, a couple OPI and a few random others picked for the color not the formula.

@babybug329@xanga - I’m the same way! I never really got into the neon trend (I like it in small doses), but I’m a sucker for the “traditional” seasonal hues. I don’t think I’ve ever worn a color because it was trendy. I love coral and orangey reds for this warm Texas weather, sheer pastels and neutrals in the spring, greys and matte finishes in the autumn, and deep reds and black in the winter.
Eep. Now I really want to paint my nails!

@misswheeler - For summer I like fuchsia and hot raspberry colors. For example, my go-to summer color is China Glaze 108 Degrees, followed by OPI Be a Dahlia Won’t You. I tend to pick pinks and reds (bright to deep), but I recently have added a few purples and even black to my collection.

Love Essie. I have Mink Muffs – it’s great. One coat is MUCH lighter than 2, so you can really control it. Plus, it looks great with their Luxeffects Nail Polish in A Cut Above (light pinky glitter)!

@WhiteHotKM@xanga - I do the EXACT same thing with those EXACT same shades! Nail polish twinkies!
