Believe it or not, I have actually participated in such shenanigans as sending messages to my neighbors via WiFi network names. When you live in a college town, you are almost guaranteed a house or apartment near at least one idiot. And sometimes, the easiest way to get your point across is to be passive-aggressive about it.
Odds are, your neighbor isn’t going to go through the trouble of trying to figure out whose network it is, so it’s like a sure fire anonymous complaint. Here are some hilarious messages people have sent to neighbors and Internet thieves via WiFi network name.

Have you ever done this? What are some funny WiFi network names you’ve seen?

Hahaha. Love. My ex-roommates used to leave passive-aggressive notes around the house allll the time. The funny part was, the whole time they thought it was me doing certain things (not doing the dishes, not buying detergent, etc.) and it turns out they they were both doing it to each other.
I almost left a snarky note to my neighbors about their loud dog, but then I just decided to go over there and talk to them about it. Glad I did that instead… I want my neighbors to like me. That way if something ever happens (weird dude hanging around outside, car window left down during the rain, etc.), I know they’ll have my back.

We have someone that named theirs “Stop Stealing my Internet”. Not really original after seeing this, but it was funny.

hahaha ours happens to be “Not FREE for U 2 use!!” because my mom found out that at least 3 of our neighbors were using our internet. We though we had it protected, but somehow it got reset and wiped out the secure connection. We never noticed until one of the neighbors children at the time leaked the street-wide secret.
