At the 2012 Venice Film Festival this week, Kate Hudson opted for a very sheer, very dramatic nude gown from Atelier Versace’s 2012 Fall Collection. A whole lot is going on in this look: not only does it have cut-outs and sparkle, it also bares her gorgeous toned shoulders and drapes beautifully over her curves. However, it also seems like she may have opted out of wearing a slip underneath, revealing quite a bit of skin under the dress, as well. While I’m not opposed to sheer gowns, I’m not sure how I feel about the thick cut-outs or the way that the level of sheerness distracts from the beauty of the dress itself.
A side-by-side comparison of the dress on the runway and Hudson’s look.
What do you lovelies think: is Kate Hudson’s gown fashion award-worthy or is it a big see-through miss?
