When he’s not busy stealing our hearts in movies such as Crazy, Stupid, Love and The Notebook, Ryan Gosling is moving up in his career! That’s right, get ready, because our favorite swoon-worthy star is making his directorial debut in a new movie called How to Catch a Monster, which he also wrote! 

The movie is described as “a modern fairy tale which weaves elements of fantasy noir with suspense”. The movie follows a single mother whose teenage son discovers a strange and frightening underwater town.

And if the movie’s director wasn’t steamy enough for you, he also has chosen the gorgeous Christina Hendricks to headline the film, who starred in the movie Drive with Ryan.

No word yet if Mr. Gosling will have a starring role in this upcoming movie, which is set to begin production next spring, but it would definitely be a bonus! [via The Hollywood Reporter]
