To any Lovelies with buns in the oven, congratulations! But even if you’re not preggers, here are some mommy t-shirts for your amusement.
Personally, I’m not looking to get pregnant anytime soon. But once I decide to have a kid (and you know, a plus sign comes up on the test), I definitely want to get a shirt like these one. After all, babies get to wear a lot of funny clothes — why can’t new moms? After all, pregnancy’s a very difficult thing to go through. I’ve seen a ton of women in my family have kids, and it definitely takes a lot out of you. A sense of humor certainly helps things go a lot easier, as far as I can tell. That’s why I love when people poke fun at pregnancy!
So even though my oven is intentionally bun-less, I am definitely digging these shirts. And the second there’s something other than veggie burgers and Greek yogurt in my belly, I’m definitely getting one. Or one like them
Though maybe not this particular shirt. It seems a little too mean…

Do you like these shirts? Do you think it’s okay for women to make jokes about being pregnant?

I like the “Ask the dad” and “Getting an Epidural” ones best.

@LaughOutLoudLauren@xanga - Oh I know, right? I love these things.

Shouldn’t they be using a pregnant woman to model these shirts?

The one I want to get for Halloween says “I can grow people! What’s your superpower?”. LOL

I would be afraid to get the “I’m sure there’s only one baby” one because twins are absolutely RAMPANT in my family and my future husband’s family!

LOVE the Ask The Dad one and the Vaginal Birth one!!! I laughed pretty hard at those. If I ever get pregnant, I want to get one of those too

@loneshadow_wolf@xanga - *sigh* I KNOW. It confused me too, believe me.

I think these shirts are funny, but I have to agree with the one that says “MYOB,” especially towards strangers. Being pregnant is not an open invitation for people to come up to touch your belly, inquire about the details of your pregnancy, the child’s gender and/or name, etc.

I like the touch my belly and die one and the myob one. I have a huge issue with strangers thinking that just because I’m pregnant that my belly is public property.

I like the ask the husband one. I don’t want to answer any more questions, and I do so only because I don’t want to be horribly rude. Every time somebody asks me when I am due, I feel like punting them like a football. Snarky shirts have their place in pregnancy.
