Finally I can wear my dark lipsticks and not feel so gothic! This fall’s most popular lip color trend is a very dark mulberry burgundy, which I am madly in love with. I love dark lipsticks because they call for a minimal face of make up, which cuts down on time while still making a major impact. Just smooth on a little tinted moisturizer and layer on some mascara. It’s really all you need with such a bold lip.
If this looks seems scary and dark, try it as night look before you step out in the daylight. I find this to be a great way to feel more comfortable and settle into a new look. In the gallery are some of my favorite burgundy lip colors from Sephora and a little inspiration to help you achieve this look.
Will you try this trend? Do you like the dark lip look?

I like the look of it. But maybe I will just go for a berry stain.

I really like it and have been trying to find a drugstore brand lipstick in this color for some time now, but I can’t find it anywhere. I don’t wear lipstick often enough to want to splurge on a more expensive one

I like this look. I own a few dark purple lipsticks from Revlon. I like nude lipsticks for fall too though.

For some reason, lipstick always looks different to me in the store than it does on my lips. I’ve been trying to buy a nice, dark red, but I always end up buying shades that are too orangey.
I might try this shade instead.

@emptyabyss@xanga - Rimmel London has one that Kate Moss did that would work. It’s number 11.
I just googled it and I think it’s the second from the right in this picture.
