We’ve seen pop star Katy Perry sport a vast array of hair colors, from pink to purple to blue and even plain black. But Perry had yet to venture into the hair territory I tried to conquer so many times during my youth: red.
Now, however, she’s sampled the hue for French magazine L’officiel, and everyone has a strong opinion about the look! Click here to see a photo of her new hair and let us know what you think!
While I do think that this isn’t the best color on her, it’s still great! She resembles an entirely different person, which I imagine is rather fun, and somehow her skin still looks great with red hair. (It’s not easy for us natural brunettes, I promise.) Katy’s purple locks were probably my favorite of her looks, but I still say this is a hit!

She looks like a different person because of photoshop. I think the color might look good in person, but you can’t tell by these pictures because of all the adjustments to color they have done.

In this photo, I would say that it fits her. But, the problem is that magazines touch up their photos to make them look as good as possible and so there is a great possibility that the hair doesn’t match her as perfectly as the picture suggests.
I would love to see an interview with her as a red head, though. I am curious to see how it looks on her in person.

I think the red hair is nice with her skin tone, but the dark eyebrows throw off the look. She can really wear the bright colors like blue or purple, or even fire engine red but I prefer the black hair on her.

I agree, its not the best color I’ve seen on her (and we all know she’s had LOTS of hair colors!) but its still nice! I like that she changes it up all the time and just does what she wants. Even if the color isn’t so great for her. Such a cool photoshoot.

well idk. in this picture it works, but what with photoshop being our last hope sometimes, how can we be sure it really looks like that unless she appears in an interview on telly?

I think she looks alright with that color. She has the skin tone for it (unlike Rihanna *shudders*) it looks natural. Better than blue that’s for sure.
