The New Zealand comedy band Flight of the Conchords may no longer have their own self-titled HBO show (which is really quite unfortunate), but that doesn’t mean they’ve fallen out of the spotlight. In fact, the comedic duo is still making music, and has just produced a hilarious new video. In it, singers Bret McKenzie and Jemaine Clement interview kids in order to get inspiration for a new song to benefit the “To Cure Kids” charity. Their results are sure to bring on the laughs, and you can watch them (and hear the song) by clicking here!
I’m really glad to see these guys making new music, especially to benefit a charity! (100% of the proceeds from this tune will go to the cause.) It’s also pretty funny to watch Bret grill that kid about the music in The Muppets…after all, he did compose an Oscar-winning song for it! Hopefully this video, which features the band’s first work in three years, means that we’ll get more Flight of the Conchords tunes soon! [via Slate]
