I admire Taylor Swift for many reasons: her incredible work ethic, her kindness toward her fans, and her willingness to stick to her morals and not fall into the expected “sexy” category when it comes to her style. While many of her fellow pop stars, including Miley Cyrus, Katy Perry, and Rihanna, are frequently seen in extremely revealing clothing, Taylor wears classic dresses and vintage pieces that show off her figure while still being classy.
I recently came across Taylor’s new ad for her upcoming fragrance, Wonderstruck Enchanted. In the ad, above, she is wearing an amazing crimson gown. I am obsessed with this dress because it is very voluminous and we usually see Taylor in more form-fitting looks. The different shades of red paired with the red lipstick and wavy hair make her look elegant, yet fashion-forward at the same time. This ad inspired me to look back on Taylor’s style over the years. I now present to you, in no particular order, my top 5 Taylor Swift style moments:
Taylor wore this golden Elie Saab dress to the 2011 Academy of Country Music Awards. I love the color and think it looks great against her skin tone. The low neckline adds a bit of sexiness and makes her look feminine without revealing too much, and the embroidery gives enough detail to keep you staring.
I’m a sucker for black and a sucker for lace, so it’s no surprise that a dress encompassing both is on my favorites list. Taylor wore this darling Jenny Packham creation to the CMT Artists of the Year Awards in 2010. I think the dress is flattering and fun without going overboard. The lace and sequins bring it to life, but it’s just the right amount and doesn’t overwhelm her.
Taylor wore this cutout dress by J Mendel to the 2011 People’s Choice Awards. I think the cutouts on the side give the dress a little bit of edge, but Taylor still looks like her sweet, classy self. I also like the flowing bottom and the length because she proves short doesn’t have to be skanky.
I’m completely obsessed with this dress worn by Taylor to the 2010 Costume Institute Gala. The flowing Ralph Lauren creation is flattering in every way. The embroidery on the bottom and interesting shoulder straps give the rather simple dress some pizzazz and make Taylor look gorgeous.
My final pick for Taylor’s top style moments is this look from the 2010 Grammy Awards. She wore the floor-length Kaufman Franco gown on one of the biggest nights of her life and simply dazzled. I love the navy blue because it isn’t a color she frequently wears and the glitter gives the dress an extra edge.
Lovelies, what do you think of my picks for Taylor’s top style moments? Do you have a favorite Taylor look that I didn’t include? Tell me in the comments below!

I love those dresses. And you are right Taylor does dress modestly which is good. She is a role model to a lot of people and those include younger kids too. She also shows maybe a little older people how to dress classy but also make it fun or edgy.

Love the lace and sequin dress the most!

I like it when Taylor wears dresses like these with cowboy boots, because it shows off a quirkier side of her.
