From left to right: DKNY, Dolce & Gabbana, Ralph Lauren, Miu Miu

I love a good fashion show every once in a while, but I’m always left gawking at some of the wilder ensembles sent down the runway. This fall’s shows were no exception, with trends running the gamut from head-to-toe leather to over-sized hats. With this in mind, I picked my favorite looks and made them appropriate for everyday life.

1. Oxblood
Though the name of the color sounds off-putting, it’s actually a really versatile wine-y hue. DKNY’s leather and fur were too much for my tastes, so here’s how I would do it instead:

Hat- Woolridge Sweater- Topshop Jeans- Dorothy Perkins Bag- Zara Boots- Doc Martens

2. Baroque

I thought this style from D&G would probably be a little over the top for my day-to-day routine, so I made it more casual and versatile:

Cardigan- River Island Earrings- Tarina Tarantino Loafers- Gap Jeans- Topshop T-shirt- She Inside

3. Menswear

This is my favorite trend! I was the world’s biggest tomboy growing up, so it’s like a trip down memory lane recreating Ralph Lauren’s boy-inspired look for my grown-up self:

Cardigan- Abercrombie Trousers- Labour of Love Button-down- Brooks Brothers Loafers- Yoox Messenger- Big Buddha Belt- Paige

4. Patterns on patterns

I applaud anybody brave enough to wear that Miu Miu patterned suit out in public. I may not have the gumption to pull off a look like that, but I still love the excitement of mixed prints. This is my safer version:

Jacket- Topshop Tights- Wolford Blouse- Topshop Skirt- Modstrom Bag- Target Shoes- Steve Madden

Would any of you Lovelies wear one of these outfits? What new trends are you most excited to try this Fall?
