I’m pretty addicted to Instagram. After hearing a co-worker talk about this new camera app a couple of years ago, I became hooked. I started thinking things like “Oh, my breakfast would look REALLY cool in this filter!” and “Road trip? Sure! Think of all the cool pictures I can put on my Instagram feed!” It instantly became a way that I could document my experiences (and maybe too many meals and happy hours) and I could live more colorfully. And it became even better as soon as I found even more camera apps at the iTunes store.  

Here are my current top four favorites:

Most of the camera apps on my phone aren’t very expensive (most of the them are the price of a cup of coffee), and well worth the money when I think about how often I use them. Hipstamatic‘s app is $1.99 and if you’d like to add new lenses and such, most of them are around 99 cents each, with the occasional ”FreePak.” They also now have a free Disposable camera app. Love! Picfx ($1.99) and Bokehful (99 cents) are made by the same awesome folks (ActiveDevelopment), with over 100 different frames and textures. Whitagram is free. 

I have more camera apps than I’d care to admit (Okay, okay, I have 24… and growing), but I’m especially fond of these four. Sometimes I’ll use more than one app to edit my phones (simply by saving it to my phone or taking a screenshot) if I like one filter here and another lense in another app. I also feel the need to share with all of you that LISA FRANK HAS AN IPHONE APP AS WELL. (The 90′s Girl in me just about had a cow fell over whenever I found it.) Honestly, it’s not that great… but c’mon, it’s Lisa Frank.
