The Hunger Games: Catching Fire is still more than a year from it’s release date, so although we still have a while before we can get our Hunger Games fix, until then, we can get excited about all the casting news! The latest and greatest is the announcment of Sam Claflin as Finnick Odair!

Sam Claflin (from Snow White and the Huntsman) will play the role of the sexy District 4 Hunger Games winner, who must return to the Hunger Games for the Quarter Quell, along with his mentor, Mags, who will be played by Lynn Cohen.


Who will be playing the rest of the winners-turned-tributes in Catching Fire? Jena Malone joins the cast as Johanna Mason, from District 7.


Philip Seymour Hoffman also joins the cast, as Plutarch Heavesbee, Head Gamemaker of the Quarter Quell.


Last but not least is everyone’s more-than-meets-the-eye couple, Wiress and Beetee, from District 3. So far, only Amanda Plummer has been cast as Wiress, but Tony Shalhoub has been rumoured for the part of Beetee!
