It’s often enjoyable to take a peek into bygone eras and poke fun at them. (While that may seem a bit harsh, I give future generations the complete go-ahead to laugh at Uggs or skinny jeans or whatever is going to be laughable from this decade.) As we all know, hindsight is 20/20, and I’m willing to bet that none of these strange and funny headlines would be seen on a magazine today!
OK, some of these are funny, but I certainly wouldn’t laugh at living well on $2,500 a year. Head on over to the source to read more! [via Buzzfeed]
What do you think of these headlines?

On some of the Cosmo ones, all of the cover stories seem bizarre.

Good finds! There are some hilarious ones in there! I’m compelled to note, however, that $2500 in 1961 is the same as just over $18k today. So, the headline really becomes
something like, “Live well on $20,000/year” which isn’t as odd.

I was actually buying Cosmo in those days, and it shows my lack of foresight that I wouldn’t seem to find any to that bothersome!

They perhaps have more quality than today’s usual fare of “8 Shocking moves that will make your married lover say ‘Oooooooooh”!”

@NightCometh@xanga - Agreed. I also do not think that the article about Jesus is that strange. Jesus has been an important part of this culture, and the world, in EVERY generation, why do we try to pretend that He does not exist or is less important today? Sad.
