You think famous people get to the top of their game overnight? Oh no. Everyone has to flip burgers (or make beds, in the case of Steven Tyler) to make it to the top.
I gotta be honest with you, Lovelies: This list gives me a lot of hope for the future. Not that I’m planning on being as famous as Mr. Tyler — I’m just hoping to make it as a “real writer” someday. Like make a book and stuff. And it can be hard to have hope for success if you have to keep working minimum-wage jobs to make ends meet.
But the jobs these famous people have worked… holy cow. George Clooney cut tobacco. Simon Cowell was a mail boy. Ozzy Osbourne worked in a freaking slaughterhouse. It’s just absolutely amazing. This list just goes to show: Whatever you’re doing now probably isn’t what you’ll be doing for the rest of your life. It’s a wonderful, wonderful thing.
Though I have to admit, the thought of Nikki Blonsky singing when I give her a tip really makes me smile…
What “day jobs” have you worked before, Lovelies? Did any of the jobs once held by famous people surprise you?

The pictures and captions are a little off… Julia Roberts doesn’t look like Tom Cruise to me :/

Though I didn’t read Stephen’s book, I read his daughter Mia’s, and their story of father daughter finally coming together is touching. I like female famous people, like extremely worthy actresses. Marcia Gay Harden and Emily Watson take the top, but, my all time favorite is Catherine Zeta Jones. I have a famous person wall in my house, and she’s on it. The gal won the British national tap dancing award before the age of 12, acted in their version of broadway at 15, acted in a soap opera , came to the states where she’s worked her butt off to win an Oscar, and a Tony because she can sing as well. Do I sound envious? You bet. I know it doesn’t answer the question of these gals holding jobs I’ve held, but oh well. I’ve worked my butt off too.
