Because I spend so much of my summer swimming, I rarely put much thought into how I look. Honestly, doing anything to my hair other than braiding it after a shower is a complete waste of time, and any makeup I put on usually comes right off during the day.
Unlike myself, though, the majority of the population cares about their summer style, and will even go so far as to experiment with new looks during June, July, and August. Celebrities are, as usual, under the most scrutiny when it comes to debuting a new look. Let’s take a look at the trends they tried out this summer!
As with many beauty and fashion experiments, these celebrity summer looks are hit-or-miss. For example, consider Demi Lovato’s hairstyle in the above photo. Some may applaud Demi and claim that this updo is a creative means of getting her hair out of her face in the summer heat. While hers is definitely a unique look, I have to admit that I’m not a huge fan. I’m not even sure how I would go about creating such a style! the drawn on eyebrows are just plain scary when they are obviously drawn. It looks like someone that really doesn’t like Demi(?) decided to draw angry eyebrows on her face with a Sharpie. I have no words for Kelly’s look. I have virtually no eyebrows. I don’t understand why anyone would want to look in the mirror and have their reflection look like it is thinking hmmm something is missing. Seriously, my eyebrows finally grew when I was pregnant. Before then…my face looked like Kelly’s and it was sad and scary. The rest are fine.

*shrugs* I don’t know here. I don’t like any of their looks all that much for some reason. I’m not really a summer girl. I know Kelly’s picture was aimed towards her bleached eyebrows. I don’t think bleached eyebrows are bad if they kind of match the hair. They don’t though >.> BUT…. I do love her hair. I just wish it was purple at the roots too. I hate that odd, roots-are-an-entirely-different-color-than-the-rest-of-the-hair look. I think it looks sloppy. I do love the purple hair though.

I like the white nails and hot pink lipstick from the trends noted above. I’m even liking the purple hair on Kelly Osborne, but not the bleached brows. I like how Demi Lovato’s hair was styled but not the roots, and someone needs to ease up on the brow darkening. Don’t get me wrong, I like a nice full brow, but not with harsh lines. Hers look like they were drawn in with a marker.

All of those pictures look horrible, if you ask me. White nails are fine, I liked the coral lipstick on one girl. Thats about it.

the orange eyeshadow on the upper and bottom eyes are scary and sickening, but her eyebrows are nicely shaped. ombre hair looks tacky like they are too cheap to redye and fix their roots that are growing out. kelly was ugly before and uglier now. demi looks like a cheap hoodrat. I guess that stye is IN for her.

Majority of the looks I like, some I already do on myself, and the rest I’ll just admire on someone else… except for Demi’s eyebrows. I just don’t get it.

I think I’d like the orange eyeshadow on someone else. There’s something about her genetically puffy lids that turn off any sort of shadow to me.
