Taylor Swift, America’s sweetest sweetheart, has an equally saccharine new single, and has also revealed the title of her new album! Click here to check out her most recent tune, “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together,” and to learn more about her upcoming CD!
Swift’s new album will be (somewhat cryptically) titled “Red,” “because of all the different emotions she explores on the album.” And if her first single is any indication, it may just be a deviation from her previous work. This song has more of a pop flare than the rest of Swift’s material…is she perhaps moving away from her country roots? Nonetheless, I enjoy “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together,” and I imagine you’ll find me singing along when it inevitably comes on the radio! [via Huffington Post]
What do you think of this song? What about the album title?

Heard the song today, the radio station must have played it at least 4 times already. I don’t really care for it.

I’m not sure how this is a deviation from her earlier work… unless it’s because I like it less.
I don’t hate it, but I don’t like it. I still think she’s charming and very pretty though.

I am listening to it right now lol. I have been listening to just this song ever since last night. I watched her live webchat and enjoyed it. I cannot wait till Oct. 22 when her Red Album will be in stores. I cannot wait!

A deviation from her previous work? She’s still writing about every guy she’s broken up with.. it’s getting pathetic. I like Taylor pre-dating.

I love her songs, I have all her albums. But this song just.. isn’t growing on me. Maybe I’ll like the other songs on her new album.

I dont care for the song, I think a lot of Taylor’s songs are full of emotion, but this one is regressing or something.
However, I’m not going to lie. After hearing it on the radio at the beginning of each hour at work today, it is indeed catchy. And it did get stuck in my head -__-

the Oooh oooh oooh ooh ohhh! is very annoying. the valley girl lyrics and repetitive ever, ever, ever is even more annoying. I like her old “you belong to me” song though. this one isn’t appealing to me.

i don’t like it, and normally i like her music…
i agree with @xOhUgSaNdKisSeSx05@xanga - that it feels like a regression at a time in her career where it seems that she should be trying to become more mature/legitimate.
i felt like “safe and sound” was a good move forward for her, but this feels like a huge step back.
but who knows, maybe in a week i’ll love it.

Kind of makes me think that maybe he was like, ‘done!’ and so she had to make it seem like he’s begging for her.
Totally might not be what happened, but that’s what this song is telling me.
Uhm, get over yourself, TS?

That girl is a pro at having new shitty relationships to write about.

Ugh. Dia Frampton’s album “Red” is a million times better and deserves way more credit than this junk.

the song isn’t on that video anymore due to copyright, at least that’s what it says for me.
and i wouldn’t consider her a ‘sweetheart’, she is known for dissing her exes in songs that SHE CHOOSES TO DATE and it just makes her look stupid in my opinion.
