Some days are definitely more newsworthy than others. Most of the time, there is an event occurring somewhere in the world that demands the attention of a news-hungry audience. Other days, however, present a lack of newsworthy information. To fill empty headlines, reporters turn to significantly less important events. You won’t believe some of these hilariously insignificant news stories!

Consider the above photo of a man who was arrested in the middle of his (seemingly overdue) haircut. Is it hilarious? Absolutely! But is it necessarily breaking news? Probably not. However, I guess news stories such as this one can be seen as a good thing. After all, when something like this is considered important enough to be newsworthy, it likely means that nothing tragic has happened in other parts of the world.
