We all know we should be eating healthier and exercising more — yet many of us just don’t. We fall prey to the evil drive-thru and are way too busy in our lives to even exercise sometimes.
Do you ever wonder how these gorgeous women stay so skinny and they don’t even take part in the dieting trends that many of us do? Well, luckily, there are easy ways to stay skinny — without even trying.
When I came across this article Lazy Ways To Stay Skinny, I just couldn’t pass it up to share! So, here are 5 easy ways to stay skinny – without lifting a finger!
This is pretty self-explanatory — the bigger the size, the more the calories! You can still enjoy that latte without overdoing it.
Skip the Breadbasket
These are considered “empty calories”. If you are going to splurge on bread at a restaurant, however, try not to order dessert or a drink with it.
Stay Hydrated
Drinking plenty of water not only keeps you healthy, but also keeps hunger at bay.
Eat Breakfast
Eating breakfast boosts your metabolism and helps you from overeating.
Start With a Salad
Having a salad before a meal fills you up without the high calories.
While these tips shouldn’t replace regular exercise and healthy eating, it definitely helps to know that there are other ways to get healthy that are easy and quick! [via Redbook]

I wouldn’t say that there are truly any “lazy” ways to stay skinny, but there are easy activities to do to help! By no means am I skinny, but I try reducing my calorie intake by minding portion sizes, skipping high-fat additions such as cheese on salad and whipped cream on cold coffee drinks (that is, when I have them–not often), drinking water instead of soda, milkshakes and other high calorie beverages. Also, rather than highly processed foods for snacks (such as chips and packaged cookies), one can substitute fresh choices such as veggies, fruits and yogurt. Substitute “white” versions of carbs for whole grains packed with fiber to fill you up faster whenever possible. I feel physical activity is necessary for good health. Being thin isn’t enough, your muscles and organs (such as your lungs and heart) need to be strong as well. I just started a workout routine and it is kicking my butt, but I am determined to stick to it for a healthy, fit and strong body, and I am slowly modifying my diet in portion sizes and food assortment.

Eat on a smaller plate so it looks like you have more food

Or you could just NOT be lazy, and be active.

I agree.. or you could just go out and be active. Not only will you lose more weight but you’ll feel better and have a better view of life.

Lazy way to be skinny- skip the grains and sugar. Seriously.
Meat, vegetables, fruit, and fat won’t make you fat.

Be twitchy. My legs don’t stay still and I swear to god that’s the only reason I haven’t gained a pound from sitting nearly all summer.

Order water with dinner instead of soda/tea/lemonade. That’s my tip.

Always eat like someone’s watching you! Prevents over eating!

Be vegetarian or better, vegan. Fat is the french women’s “ennemy”, when glucid is the american one. Being vegan ? I don’t have ennemies !

Eat on a smaller plate, eat fruit before each meal and drink lots of water. Also, don’t buy snacks. If they’re not the house, you can’t be tempted by them.

I like that your question at the end is more about being healthy. It is not about being “skinny” but about being healthy. If you stay healthy and eat moderately, then yes, hopefully that also includes getting to a more healthy weight, but not everything is about being skinny. As a “skinny” person, skinny is overrated.
